Line them up.......take a pictue!

My dad Jesse Burgus and his brothers taken around 1927.
Donald, b. 1920,   Jesse,  b.1917,   Ralph, b. 1910,   Carl, b.  1904,   Cecil, b. 1902
There were five sister born between the dates of these brothers.

Fishermen lined up with their catch.  I have posted this before but this image is a clearer one from my brother's photo supply.  Grandpa LeRoy Brown in standing on the right. My copy of the photo has DAD written next to his head put there by my mom. Some of the guys could be relatives but I don't anything about them.

Dad on the left and another soldier out in the field on the front, who knows where.  I can not figure out if those are weapons or if they are just fooling around. Line them up and take a picture or get yourself shot.

A standing soldier with a cigarette in hand.  Taking a photo of a guy for the memory of his friendship during the war.

There is no line up here as it is an informal, casual shot with the shadow in the picture. They haven't been camped there for very long as the grass seems pretty much in full growth.

I love the title : it could be an alternative name for Sepia Saturday. Love the pictures too.

That's quite a span of ages- what busy grandparents you had! I agree with Alan - a good choice of title.

Larry, I always get the sense from your photos that your family really knew how to have a good time together.

I like that. have a kid every 2 years and that's what you end up with - 10+ children.

A nice group of pictures. I am always amazed at big families like that.

These are great, Larry! I can't imagine having 10 kids.

Excellent photos - and I love the title! It would be nice to know where they were (in the service pictures) I get the sense that they are biding their time - waiting for something. Perhaps getting shipped out. But that background looks like the good ole USA

Great pictures, you are lucky to have such a record of your family.

I have photo of smokers today too. That was a big family as so many were back at that time. Like so many of the old photos I have, who are they; and even some with the names, I am like you and know little about them...names don't help much then. That's a full stringer of fish. Did they fry them up for fish fry? That would have happened around here. Interesting photos of days gone long by.

Wow -- large family! Today families of that size are an anomaly, though my great-grandparents' Arnett family (last child born about 1902) was about the same size.
